December - March tends to bring more mild/dry and pleasant temperatures however, this is also the time when summer vacations and crowds are at their peak. April – May brings less tourism but the temperatures can get up to 100 degrees daily, while June – November is consistently rainy. Vibrant and popular festivals occur throughout the year in Merida so plan accordingly there as well. Hanal Pixan (the Mayan celebration of the Day of the Dead), Mérida Fest, and Carnaval are a few of their most popular.
