Two types of people generally visit the American Southwest, those who love the heat and those who prefer milder temperatures. For the latter, the best time to visit Flagstaff and Sedona would be between March and May, when desert flowers are in full bloom; or fall, around mid-September to November, when temperatures range from the mid-60s F to the mid-80s F. Even during the winter, the weather is never too disagreeable; and snow sprinkled on red rocks and tall pines is an unforgettable sight.
